Ware Shoals is a city that lies in three counties, Abbeville, Laurens, and Greenville of South Carolina, United States. The Laurens portion of Ware Shoals is part of Greenville-Mauldin-Easley-Metropolitan Area. However, the Greenwood County portion is part of Greenwood Micropolitan Area. The city runs along the Saluda River.

The city has a total area of 4 square miles, of which 0.12 miles is water. Moreover, the city is home to 2,170 people. The population density is 542.5 people per square mile. This is according to the latest census. The population in 2000 was 2,363, which was more. This means that it has reduced over the years. The racial makeup of this city is 78.33% White, 20.10% African American and the rest belong to other races.

The history has a strong historical background as well. There are many historical sites in this vicinity that are well-known all over America. One of the most famous places is Ware Shoals Inn that is registered in the National Register of Historical Places. Surprisingly, this place was a water wheel grist mill in the early 19th century and changed to this city afterwards by William Ware.

The climate of this region is typically hot summers and cool winters. The highest temperature in the summers is 92 degrees, and it can drop to 30 in the winters. This makes the winter months, generally January difficult to live. However, there is no snowfall. When it comes to rain, the precipitation level is 43 inches, which is higher than the US average of 39.
